Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has been dealt another injury blow after only recently returning to training.

However, there is hope that the latest problem is not serious and he will be back in training soon.

Shaw has not played for United for almost a year เว็บพนันออนไลน์ UFABET สมัครง่าย โปรโมชั่นมากมาย due to multiple muscular problems and has made just three substitute appearances under new boss Ruben Amorim.

The 29-year-old England defender has been struggling with what is believe to be a minor issue during his recovery and could return to training early next week, despite initial fears he could be out for a longer period.

But concerns about Shaw are understandable, given he picked up a knock after coming on as a substitute against Everton in early December and has not played in the last 16 games.

Amorim wants Shaw to return to fitness to give him options at left-back and left-back in a three-man centre-back.

The only time he has started since then was in the final of Euro 2024 after Gareth Southgate brought him into the team following cameos in the quarter-final and semi-final.

Shaw’s absence is a further defensive injury blow to United, with Lisandro Martinez expected to miss the rest of the campaign with a knee problem sustained in Sunday’s defeat to Crystal Palace.

Amorim had used Shaw as a left-sided central defender in a back three, Martinez’s usual position, and the 29-year-old could have been an option to stand in for the Argentinian. Instead, Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro or Noussair Mazraoui may have to be press into service to deputise.
